General

The is an SGI graphics workstation. Its outstanding graphics performance, fast CPU and nice design made much of the company's legendary reputation. The Indigo was available with R3000 processors; the later Indigo R4000 aka IP20 also came with a R4000 processor. The Indigo can also utilize a R4400 processor from older Indigo2 (IP22) machines clocked at 150 MHz.

OEM Versions

Siemens-Nixdorf was shipping an OEM version of the Indigo as the RW 320.


Linux Support

The Indigo is not supported, however the project currently supports this machine. Steven Hill (sjhill) was working on bringing the NetBSD port to Linux. He has stopped work on it due to lack of interest.
