Like the stock Cobalt_Firmware this is a replacement firmware specifically designed for the Cobalt range of servers.

Features

  • Ability to load kernels from:
    • TFTP
    • NFS (for backward compatability with old Cobalt restore CD)
    • Serial line (using srec images)
    • EXT2/3 formatted partition (no longer requires EXT2 revision 0)
  • Scripting support with full menu capability
  • Initial Ramdisk support
  • Kernel command line support
  • Ability to boot kernels larger than 700kB
  • Ability to boot 64-bit ELF kernels
